Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: June 28, 2026
This policy explains how the Committee to Elect Greg Wright (“we,” “us,” the “Committee”) handles information you give us through this website. We are a political committee, not a business, and we never sell your personal information.
Information we collect
We collect only what you choose to give us through our forms:
- Contact & sign-up details — name, email, phone number, and ZIP code when you volunteer, subscribe, or message us.
- Volunteer preferences and messages — the interests you select and anything you type into a notes or message field.
- Contribution information — donations are processed by our payment processor, Anedot. We never see or store your full card number. We do receive the contribution details that election law requires us to keep (see “Campaign-finance disclosure” below).
- Basic technical data — your IP address, browser type, and the page you submitted from. We retain a record of consent (date, IP, and the exact text you agreed to) so we can honor and document your choices.
How we use it
- To respond to you and follow up on volunteering or questions.
- To send campaign updates, events, and ways to help — by email and, if you opt in, by text.
- To meet our legal obligations, including campaign-finance reporting.
- To reach supporters and likely voters with campaign advertising on other platforms (see “Advertising” below).
When you sign up, you agree to receive campaign emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-outs promptly. You can also email greg@wrightforhse.com to be removed.
Text messages (SMS)
We send texts only to people who explicitly opt in by checking the consent box on our forms. Message frequency varies and message & data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. We keep a dated record of your opt-in and will not text you unless you have given that consent. Consent to texts is never a condition of volunteering or donating.
Advertising and data sharing
We may use the contact information you provide to show you — and people like you — campaign advertising on platforms such as Facebook/Instagram and Google. This is typically done by sharing a hashed (scrambled) version of your email or phone number with the platform to build a matched audience. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. To limit this use, you can unsubscribe from our list and use the ad controls offered by those platforms.
Cookies & analytics
Our site uses minimal cookies needed to function and may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand traffic. We do not use this site to build advertising profiles of your activity across other websites.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the vendors that help us run the campaign — for example our payment processor (Anedot), our database/hosting provider (Supabase/Vercel), our email and texting providers, and ad platforms as described above — and only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to comply with campaign-finance reporting.
Campaign-finance disclosure
Political contributions are not private. Indiana law requires committees to report contributor information once a donor’s contributions cross the reporting threshold, and those reports become public record. By contributing, you understand your contribution may be publicly disclosed as required by law. Contributions are not tax-deductible. We do not accept contributions from foreign nationals or from anonymous sources.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data security
We limit access to the information you provide, transmit it over encrypted connections, and rely on reputable providers that maintain industry-standard safeguards (including PCI compliance for payments). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to collect only what we need.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from email using the link in any message.
- Reply STOP to opt out of texts.
- Ask us what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted by emailing greg@wrightforhse.com.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
